The Ministry of Education has officially announced the launch of the All-Island Commerce and Entrepreneurship Skills Evaluation Competition 2026. This annual initiative aims to empower students to face global trends and rapid technological advancements by fostering creativity and resilience within the commerce sector.
Competition Objectives
The ministry has outlined several key goals for this year’s program:
- Increasing student attraction toward Commerce education.
- Enhancing subject knowledge, attitudes, and the use of modern technology.
- Providing a platform to evaluate entrepreneurship and innovation.
- Developing financial literacy and logical thinking among students.
- Creating better pathways for higher and vocational education.
Competition Structure
The tournament is divided into two primary categories, conducted across school, zonal, provincial, and national levels.
1. Commerce Subject Knowledge Quiz
- Target: Specifically for students studying Commerce.
- Format: A written examination.
- Categories: * Grades 10–11.
- Grades 12–13.
2. Entrepreneurship Skills Presentation
- Target: Open to all students from Grades 6 to 13.
- Format: Individual presentation of an original entrepreneurial idea or product.
- Categories:
- Grades 6–9.
- Grades 10–11.
- Grades 12–13.
Important Deadlines
Schools and administrative bodies are advised to adhere to the following timeline for 2026:
