The Department of Examinations has officially announced the timetable for the 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, which will be conducted on 9 August 2026 (Sunday).
According to the schedule released by the Commissioner General of Examinations, the examination will be held in two papers:
- Paper II – 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
- Paper I – 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The examination is one of the most significant national assessments for primary school students in Sri Lanka, providing opportunities for scholarships and admission to selected schools.
The Department has advised candidates, parents, and school authorities to make the necessary preparations well in advance. Further instructions regarding admission cards, examination centres, and candidate guidelines are expected to be issued closer to the examination date.
