💰 Salary Scale & Service Conditions
Training Grade Allowance
A monthly allowance will be paid as per Schedule VI of Public Administration Circular 10/2025(I).
Grade III Salary Scale (MN 3-2025)
Rs. 52,250 – 10×800 – 11×1,190 – 10×1,320 – 10×1,350 – 100,040
Position Nature: Permanent and pensionable.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as of 25 August 2026)
Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30 years — applicants must be born on or before 25 August 2008 and on or after 25 August 1996.
G.C.E. (O/L) Requirements — For All Posts
Must pass 6 subjects with Credit passes (C) in Sinhala/Tamil/English, Science, Mathematics, and one other subject, in not more than two sittings.
G.C.E. (A/L) Requirements
For Posts 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 & 11: Pass in 3 Science subjects at a single sitting, including Physics, Chemistry, and Applied/Pure/Combined Mathematics.
For Posts 3 & 9 (Research Assistant – General & Soil Surveyor): Pass in 3 Science subjects at a single sitting, including Chemistry, Physics, and one other Science/Mathematics subject.
Professional Qualifications
Draftsman: Completion of a 1-year full-time training course in Drafting from a recognized Technical College.
Mechanical Foreman: NDT (Moratuwa/Hardy Ampara), NDIET (NAITA), HND (Higher National Diploma in Engineering), Open University Diploma in Technology, IESL Part I, NVQ Level 6 qualification, or equivalent.
📝 Examination Scheme
The written examination consists of two medium-based papers (Sinhala or Tamil):
