SLTES annual transfer appeals decisions 2026 have been released by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education for officers in the Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service.

Officers to Be Released Immediately

The Ministry has instructed Provincial Directors of Education, Presidents of National Colleges of Education, Zone Directors, Principals of Teacher Training Colleges, and Managers of Teacher Centers to release the transferred officers from their current duties immediately.

This instruction is to ensure that transferred officers can assume duties at their new stations by August 1, 2026.

Non-Compliance and Disciplinary Action

If a transferred officer does not report to work as ordered, the head of the new institution is authorized to issue a “Vacation of Post” notice under Section 257, Sub-section V of the Public Service Commission Procedural Rules.

Further Appeals to the Public Service Commission

Officers who wish to appeal the decision of the Appeals Board to the Public Service Commission must do so within 14 days of the announcement.

Appeals must be submitted using the prescribed Attachment 03 form in accordance with Procedural Rule 256.
