The Department of Census and Statistics – Sri Lanka has made available the official School Census 2026 online portal for collecting and updating information relating to Teachers, Principals and other Academic Staff. Teachers, Principals and School Data Officers can use the online system to enter, check and update academic staff information required for the 2026 School Census. The portal requires users to provide their National Identity Card (NIC) Number and Mobile Number to proceed.

- Identify the correct School Census form applicable to the school.
- Check the relevant AS-P1, AS-P3, or AS-P4 format.
- Refer to the CL1 Code List where required.
- Read the relevant user guide before entering information.
- Access the official School Census online portal.
- Enter the required NIC Number and Mobile Number.
- Follow the instructions displayed on the portal.
- Carefully check the information before completing the process.
School Data Officers should also follow the official instructions when assisting with the collection and verification of academic staff information.
