📖 Overview
The Department of Measurement Units, Standards, and Services, under the Ministry of Trade, Commerce, Food Security, and Co-operative Development, is recruiting Trainees to the post of Inspectors of Measurement Services and Devices (Class III) of the Sri Lanka Technological Service (2025). Applications must be submitted online only, via the Department of Examinations website (www.doenets.lk) under “Our Services” → “Online Applications – Recruitment Exams / E.B. Exams”. The application fee of LKR 600/- can be paid via credit/debit card, BOC online banking, or at any Bank of Ceylon branch.
Officers currently employed in the Public or Provincial Public Service must submit a copy of their application to their head of department to be filed in their personal file, and present a certified copy along with a service confirmation letter at the interview stage.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- G.C.E. (A/L): Passed three (3) subjects in a single attempt, including Physics and either Combined Mathematics or Higher Mathematics (from Combined Maths, Higher Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Agriculture); or
- Under the old syllabus: Passed Physics and Applied/Pure Mathematics alongside a third subject in one sitting.
- G.C.E. (O/L): Passed six (6) subjects in a single sitting with Credit passes in Language, Mathematics, Science, and one other subject.
2. Age & Citizenship
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Age between 18 and 30 years as of 04 September 2026 (born on or before 4 Sept 2008, and on or after 4 Sept 1996).
- Upper age limit does not apply to applicants currently serving in the public service.
