MA in International Relations (MAIR) – 2026/2027

The Department of International Relations at the University of Colombo has announced a call for applications for its esteemed MA in International Relations program for the 2026/2027 academic year.

• Duration: 2 Years
• Medium: English
• Course Fee: LKR 375,000 (Excluding University Administrative Fees)
• SLQF Level: 9 (Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework)

Entry Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class from a recognized university.
• A postgraduate qualification in a relevant area of study.
• Be a graduate in the Foreign Service of Sri Lanka or be a graduate presently employed in a foreign embassy or international organization in Sri Lanka.
• Possess qualifications/experience deemed equivalent by the Faculty/Senate.

Note: All eligible candidates must pass an interview conducted by a Selection Committee.
