The open competitive examination for the recruitment of graduates to Class 3-I (a) of the Sri Lanka Teacher Service, intended to fill existing teacher vacancies in Tamil, Sinhala, and English medium subjects in Northern Province schools, has been temporarily suspended.
According to a public notice issued by A. Anthon Yohanayagam, Acting Secretary, Provincial Public Service Commission, Northern Province, the recruitment process has been halted based on instructions from the Hon. Governor of the Northern Province. These instructions stem from a directive issued in accordance with a Cabinet decision.
Consequently, the acceptance of applications for the aforementioned examination has been put on hold. Further announcements regarding the resumption of the process will be made at a later date.
