The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has extended the application deadline for the Allama Iqbal Scholarships for Sri Lankan students. Applicants now have until 30th May 2025 to submit their applications online.
These prestigious scholarships—part of the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship Scheme—offer both fully and partially funded opportunities for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies at top-ranked universities across Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria

The medium of instruction is English, and all scholarship holders are expected to return to Sri Lanka upon completion of their studies.

- Hard copy applications will not be accepted
Important Notes
- Age limits:
- Undergraduate: Not older than 23 years
- Master’s (non-Faculty): Not older than 35 years
- PhD (Faculty): Not older than 40 years
- Selection is merit-based, including performance on an aptitude test
- Students already enrolled in Pakistani universities or those receiving other HEC scholarships are not eligible
