Applications for Electrician Grade III Positions

The Finance Commission of Sri Lanka has announced an open recruitment drive for the post of Electrician Grade III in the Primary Level Skilled Category Service. Eligible Sri Lankan citizens are invited to apply before the deadline on July 31, 2025.

Key Details of the Recruitment

1. Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on:

A professional test (60 marks for Electrical Knowledge, 40 marks for General Knowledge; 40% pass mark required).
An aptitude assessment interview (100 marks total, covering additional qualifications, experience, and skills).

2. Qualifications Required

Educational: At least two Credit passes in six GCE Ordinary Level subjects (two sittings max). Note: NVQ Level 3 or higher holders are exempt from this requirement.
Professional: NVQ Level 4 or higher certificate in Electrical-related fields from a recognized institution.
Age Limit: 18–45 years as of the application closing date.
Other: Physical fitness, Sri Lankan citizenship, and good character.

3. Employment Terms

Salary Scale: Rs. 42,780–66,540 (incremental).
Probation: Three-year probation with an efficiency bar test.
Pension: Permanent and pensionable, subject to government policies.
