The Ministry of Education has announced that all schools across the island will remain closed until further notice. Deputy Minister of Education Madura Seneviratne stated that the decision was taken after a careful review of the prevailing situation in the country.
According to the Deputy Minister, the temporary closure applies to all government, provincial, Muslim, and private schools nationwide. He noted that the Ministry will continue to monitor developments closely and provide updates in due course.
