🎓 Eligibility Requirements
🎓 MPhil
A candidate should possess one of the recognised qualifications, including: a Bachelor’s Honours Degree with at least 30 credits in the relevant field of research; a Bachelor’s Honours Degree with at least 30 credits in a related field together with a qualifying examination; a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 0–4 scale together with prescribed qualifying requirements; a relevant Postgraduate Certificate or higher qualification such as a Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s Degree. Certain recognised National Vocational Qualifications may also be considered subject to the University’s prescribed academic and qualifying requirements.
🎓 PhD
A candidate should possess one of the recognised qualifications, including: an MPhil in the relevant field of research; a Master’s Degree in the relevant field containing the required research component; a Bachelor’s Honours Degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 0–4 scale, subject to requirements determined by the Senate. An eligible MPhil candidate may be upgraded to PhD after the prescribed period where research competency is considered exceptional. Other recognised routes may apply subject to qualifying examinations and University approval.
