The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced that applications for University Admission 2023/2024 are now open for students who have qualified based on the re-scrutinized results and the release of withheld results of the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2023 (2024).
The application window will be open from October 1, 2024, to October 8, 2024, allowing eligible students to submit their applications online. This opportunity is specifically for students whose results were re-evaluated or released after being withheld by the Department of Examinations.
According to the UGC, further details regarding the application process can be found in previous newspaper advertisements or on the official UGC website
Important Announcements for Applicants
The UGC has highlighted two key points in its latest announcement:
- No Preference Change Period – Unlike the standard application process, students applying under this special category will not be granted the usual two-week period to change the order of their course preferences.
- Exclusion of Aptitude-Tested Courses – This admission process does not apply to programs that require aptitude or practical tests, as these have already been completed by the respective universities and higher education institutions.
The UGC advises all eligible students to submit their applications within the given timeframe and adhere to the specified guidelines.
