💰 Salary Scale & Conditions of Appointment
Salary Code: MN 2-2025 (Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025)
Salary Scale: Rs. 48,470 – 10×540 – 11×630 – 10×1,010 – 10×1,190 – Rs. 82,800/-
- Appointments are permanent and pensionable, subject to applicable government rules.
- Selected candidates may be appointed to any part of Sri Lanka and are generally required to serve at the initial station for at least three (03) years.
- Target Group: General eligible Sri Lankan citizens.
- Age Limit: Must be not less than 18 years and not more than 30 years of age as at the closing date (25 September 2026).
- Educational Qualifications:
- Must have passed in at least three (03) subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination in one sitting (except the General Common Paper); AND
- Must have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination in six (06) subjects with credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, English, Mathematics, and one other subject in not more than two sittings.
- Must possess excellent character and sound physical and mental fitness to perform the duties anywhere in Sri Lanka.
- Target Group: Strictly for confirmed public service officers.
- Salary Category: Officers receiving salary under the Primary Level PL salary category or under the MN 1-2025 salary code in terms of Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025.
- Service Period: Must have completed at least five (05) years of active and satisfactory continuous service in a permanent post as of 25 September 2026.
- Educational Qualifications: Must have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination in not more than two sittings in at least six (06) subjects with two (02) credit passes, including Language/Literature and Mathematics.
- All qualifying requirements must be fully satisfied on or before 25 September 2026.
- Officers of the Provincial Public Service are NOT permitted to apply under the Limited category.
- Temporary, casual, and contract employees are not eligible.
- Employees of State Boards, Corporations, Statutory Bodies, and similar public entities are strictly ineligible.

📬 How to Apply
- Online Application: Applications for both Open and Limited examinations must be submitted Online in the English language through the Department of Examinations official portal (doenets.lk).
- Examination Fee: The examination fee is Rs. 600/- and must be paid using the online payment gateway provided during submission.
- Important for Limited Candidates (Government Officers):
- A printed copy of the submitted online application must be handed over to your Head of Institution to be placed in your personal file.
- When called for the interview, a certified copy of the application and an official letter from the Head of the Department confirming continuous satisfactory service must be presented.
