The University of Sri Jayewardenepura’s Staff Development Centre (SDC) has invited applications for the Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) 2025 programme for the year 2025. The course is set to begin in June 2025.
Specially designed for university academic staff, the CTHE programme is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) as a key qualification for university lecturers seeking confirmation after their probationary period. It also supports the broader career development of academics within the university system.

- Duration: Minimum of six months
- Modules Include: Orientation as a University Teacher, Curriculum Design and Revision, Higher Education System in Sri Lanka, Quality Assurance, Teaching and Learning Methods, Teaching Practice, Assessment and Evaluation, Research, ICT skills, Personnel Development, Administrative Procedures, and Strategic Planning.
Learning methods will blend face-to-face sessions, group activities, online sessions, E-learning, and self-study, with classes held twice weekly for three-hour sessions.
