Sri Lanka Law College Applications 2026

The Sri Lanka Law College has announced the commencement of applications for its General Entrance Examination for the academic year 2026. Prospective students can submit their applications online from 9:00 a.m. on March 17, 2025, until 9:00 p.m. on April 16, 2025, through the Sri Lanka Examinations Department’s online system.

Qualifications for Entrance:

To be eligible for the entrance examination, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Advanced Level Qualification: Passed the Sri Lanka General Certificate of (Advanced Level) Examination or the General Certificate of (Advanced Level) Examination of the United Kingdom with two credit passes and one ordinary pass in a single sitting.
• Ordinary Level Qualification: Obtained credit passes in English Language and either Sinhala or Tamil Language in the Sri Lanka General Certificate of (Ordinary Level) Examination, the National General Certificate of Examination, or the General Certificate of (Ordinary Level) Examination of the United Kingdom.
• Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 17 years old by the last date of application submission.

Entrance Examination:

The entrance examination is scheduled to be held in July 2025 and will consist of the following papers:

1. General Knowledge – 1 hour
2. General Intelligence – 1 hour
3. Proficiency in English Language – 1.5 hours
4. Proficiency in Sinhala or Tamil Language – 1.5 hours

Examination and College Fees:

• Examination Fee: Rs. 1,200, payable through the instructions provided on the Sri Lanka Examinations Department’s website.
• Law College Fee: Rs. 12,000, to be paid to the Hatton National Bank account (063020073300, Hulftsdorp Branch) in the name of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education. Applicants must email the payment receipt to entrance@sllc.ac.lk before submitting their online application.

The application form is available on the Sri Lanka Examinations Department’s website (www.doenets.lk) under the “Online Applications – Recruitment Exams” section. All applications must be submitted online.
