Special Leave Granted for Muslim Public Officers During Ramadan 2026

The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued Public Administration Circular No. 03/2026, outlining arrangements to facilitate Muslim public officers during the Ramadan (Ramazan) Season 2026.

According to the circular dated 07 January 2026, Ramadan is scheduled to commence on 19 February 2026 and conclude on 21 March 2026. Heads of Ministries, Provincial Councils, Departments, State Corporations, and Statutory Boards have been instructed to make necessary arrangements to enable Muslim officers to participate in prayers and religious observances during this period.

The circular specifies the daily time periods allocated for prayers and religious activities as follows:

  • 03.30 a.m. – 06.00 a.m.
  • 03.15 p.m. – 04.15 p.m.
  • 06.00 p.m. – 07.00 p.m.
  • 07.30 p.m. – 10.30 p.m.
