The Department of Examinations announced today that the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination has been postponed indefinitely, following the worsening severe weather and cyclone conditions affecting several regions across the country.
Commissioner General of Examinations stated that all scheduled A/L examinations — including the GIT (General Information Technology) paper — have now been postponed. This updated decision was made to ensure the safety of students, exam supervisors, and staff as heavy rain, strong winds, and flooding continue to disrupt normal activities.
Earlier, only selected subject papers were postponed, but with the situation escalating, the Department has suspended the entire examination schedule until further notice.
A new timetable will be released once weather conditions improve and authorities confirm safe arrangements for conducting the exams.
