The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB), under the Ministry of Urban Development, Construction, and Housing, has invited applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for various positions on a project contract basis. The vacancies are part of the Anuradhapura North Water Supply Project – Phase II, aimed at enhancing water supply infrastructure in the region.
Available Positions and Qualifications
The following positions are open for recruitment:
- Chief Engineer (Civil) – 01 Post
- Salary: Rs. 160,000 + COL
- Requirements: A recognized degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 12 years of managerial experience (or 9 years with a postgraduate qualification).
- Engineer (Civil) – 02 Posts
- Salary: Rs. 75,000 + COL
- Requirements: A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 3 years of experience.
- Engineer (Mechanical) – 01 Post
- Salary: Rs. 75,000 + COL
- Requirements: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 3 years of experience.
- Quantity Surveyor – 01 Post
- Salary: Rs. 135,000 + COL
- Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, with 8 years of experience.
- Project Secretary – 01 Post
- Salary: Rs. 64,000 + COL
- Requirements: G.C.E. O/L with credit passes in English and Sinhala/Tamil, plus a secretarial course and 5 years of experience.
- Engineering Assistant (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) – Multiple Posts
- Salary: Rs. 64,000 + COL
- Requirements: A degree, professional qualification, or NVQ certification with relevant experience.
- Accounts Clerk – 02 Posts
- Requirements: G.C.E. O/L with credit passes in Mathematics/Commercial Arithmetic and relevant accounting qualifications.
General Conditions
- Age Limit: Below 65 years by the closing date.
- Contract Basis: Initial appointment for one year, renewable based on performance.
