Key Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

1. Additional Director General (Senior Manager HM 2-3)

• External Applicants: A UGC-recognized Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject AND a 2-year research-level Post Graduate Degree in Education with 20 years post-graduation managerial experience (at least 8 years at Senior Managerial level); OR a UGC-recognized Bachelor’s/B.Ed degree AND a Ph.D. in Education with 8 years of post-doctoral Senior Managerial service.
• Internal Applicants: Minimum 3 years of satisfactory service as Deputy Director General (HM 2-1) at NIE with strong leadership credentials.

2. Technical Officer – Electrical (Junior Manager JM 1-1)

• UGC-recognized Degree in the relevant field; OR
• NVQ Level 7 Certificate of Proficiency in the relevant field; OR
• NVQ Level 6 Certificate of Proficiency with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
• NVQ Level 5 Certificate of Proficiency with 10+ years of relevant experience.

3. Technical Assistant (Management Assistant – Technical MA 2-2)

• NVQ Level 5 Certificate of Proficiency in the relevant field; OR
• NVQ Level 4 Certificate of Proficiency (if Level 5 is unavailable) plus 10 years of post-qualifying relevant experience.

General Conditions & Benefits

• Citizenship & Conduct: Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens, physically and mentally sound, and possess high moral character.
• Work Location: Selected candidates will be assigned permanently to Maharagama or Meepe workstations.
• Fund Contributions: EPF contributions are set at 8% (employee) and 12% (employer). ETF contribution is 3% (employer) alongside standard government allowances.
