National Diploma in Floriculture and Landscape Gardening Technology 2026

The Department of National Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, has called for the National Diploma in Floriculture and Landscape Gardening Technology (NVQ Level 5) for the 2026 intake. The programme is conducted by the School of Floriculture and Landscape Gardening under the Ministry of Environment.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should satisfy one of the following requirements:

NVQ Level 4 in Landscaping Technician (Landscape Development Assistant), OR
NVQ Level 4 in a related field approved by the Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), OR
Passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination with three simple passes in one sitting under:
- Bio Science Stream
- Physical Science (Mathematics) Stream
- Technology Stream

In addition, applicants must possess a Credit Pass in English Language at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
