The Provincial Public Service Commission of the Eastern Province has officially called for applications for the Limited Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Provincial Management Service Officer (MSO) Service 2026. A total of 53 vacancies are available. Applications are submitted online via www.ep.gov.lk from 16 July 2026 at 9:00 AM to 14 August 2026 at 10:00 PM. The examination fee is Rs. 1,000, payable at any Divisional Secretariat in the Eastern Province. Applicants must be permanent employees in the Eastern Province Public Service under PL or MN-01-2025 salary codes with at least 5 years of continuous satisfactory service. Current Employment
Must be a permanent employee currently serving in the Eastern Province Public Service under the primary level PL salary code or MN-01-2025 salary code (in accordance with Public Administration Circular 10/2025).

Minimum of 05 years of continuous, satisfactory service in a permanent appointment by the closing date. Temporary or casual service periods prior to permanent appointment will not be counted.

Educational Qualifications
Passed G.C.E. (O/L) in not more than two sittings in 06 subjects, including Mathematics and a Language (Tamil / Sinhala / English), with at least two Credit passes.
