The University of Moratuwa’s Faculty of Architecture, Department of Building Economics, has announced the launch of its Master of Science (MSc) Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution. Designed for construction industry professionals, the programs aim to equip participants with advanced knowledge in legal frameworks, contract administration, and alternative dispute resolution methods.
Program Highlights
- Target Group: Professionals with honours or bachelor’s degrees in construction-related fields and relevant work experience (1–2 years, depending on qualifications).
- Curriculum: The first year (Postgraduate Diploma) covers topics such as Construction Procurement, Arbitration, Claims Management, and Business Law. The second year (MSc) focuses on dissertation research.
- Duration: 12 months for the Diploma; 24 months for the full MSc.
- Schedule: Classes held on Fridays (4:00 PM–9:30 PM) and Saturdays (8:00 AM–9:30 PM).
- Fees: LKR 300,000 for Year 1 and LKR 150,000 for Year 2.
