Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/Institution in a field relevant to Psychology; OR
- Any other Bachelor’s degree with prior learning/work experience relevant to Counselling and Social Work; OR
- Postgraduate Diploma (SLQF 8) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board of Graduate Studies and Senate of the University of Colombo, with prior learning/work experience in Psychology and Counselling; OR
- Professional qualification from a recognized professional body acceptable to the Board of Graduate Studies and Senate of the University of Colombo, with prior learning/work experience in Psychology and Counselling; OR
- NVQ Level 7 (equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in SLQF) with relevant work experience in Psychology and Counselling as determined by the Board of Graduate Studies and Senate.
- AND: Good knowledge of English language and satisfactory performance at a selection test and/or selection interview.

Only local students can pay the programme fee in two (02) installments. The application fee (non-refundable) can be paid using account code 318170700009 at any Peoples’ Bank branch or via pay.cmb.ac.lk.

Complete the form and gather certified copies of NIC, birth certificate, educational & professional qualifications, work experience documents, and scanned payment slip.

Submit all documents as a single PDF via the Apply Online weblink below.

Also send the completed application (certified by principal) along with all photocopies and the payment slip by registered post to: Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo, No. 35/30, Prof. Stanley Wijesundara Mawatha, Colombo 07. Mention the programme name on the left side of the envelope.
