The Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission has officially announced an open recruitment drive to fill 76 vacancies for Grade III Management Service Officers in the Uva Provincial Council Public Service. Eligible candidates residing in Uva Province are invited to submit applications before the closing date of June 26, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of Sri Lanka.
- Be between 18 and 30 years of age as of June 26, 2026.
- Have resided continuously in Uva Province for at least three years before the closing date of applications.
- Have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination with six subjects in one sitting, including credit passes in Language and Mathematics.
- Have passed all subjects (excluding General English and General Knowledge) in one sitting at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination.
Application Process
Applications must be submitted online through the Uva Provincial Council examination portal. After completing the online application, candidates are required to download the application form, attach the examination fee receipt, obtain the necessary signature attestation, and send the hard copy by registered post to the Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission.
The online application portal will be open from June 5, 2026, at 9.00 a.m. until June 26, 2026, at 11.59 p.m.
Examination Details
The competitive examination will consist of two papers:
- Language Skills – 100 marks (2½ hours)
- Aptitude Test – 100 marks (1 hour)
The examination will be conducted in Sinhala, Tamil, and English, and candidates must answer all papers in the language medium selected during application.
Salary and Service Conditions
Selected candidates will be appointed to Grade III of the Management Service Officer Service and will be entitled to the salary scale applicable under the Government’s revised salary structure. The position is permanent and pensionable, subject to the relevant service regulations and probationary requirements.
District-Based Recruitment
Recruitment will be conducted on a district representation basis, with vacancies allocated proportionately between Badulla and Monaragala districts. Candidates must meet the prescribed district eligibility criteria when applying.
Special Provision for Differently-Abled Applicants
Three percent (3%) of the available vacancies will be reserved for differently-abled candidates who meet the minimum examination requirements and qualifications.
