The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Sri Lanka Office is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Professional Staff in its Development Cooperation Division.
Established in 1982, the JICA Sri Lanka Office has been actively supporting numerous development assistance projects across various sectors through Japanese ODA Loans, Technical Cooperation, and Grant Aid. As the implementing agency for Japan’s bilateral Official Development Assistance (ODA), JICA plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable development in Sri Lanka.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong knowledge or interest in project management and development issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, writing, and networking skills
- Fluency in English and Sinhala or Tamil (verbal and written)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience with international organizations, bilateral donors, or global enterprises
- Experience in finance or engineering fields
- Demonstrated expertise in project design, management, and monitoring, including financial management and procurement
