The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has approved full scholarships for officers in the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) and the Sri Lanka Teacher Educator Service (SLTES) to pursue a one-year, weekend-based Master of Education (M.Ed.) Degree.
Eligibility and Course Details
This scholarship is being offered under the General Education and Modernization Program (GEMP). Interested officers who meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply:
- Service: Must be an officer in the SLEAS or SLTES.
- Age Limit: Must be under 55 years of age as of December 19, 2025.
- Prior Qualifications: Must not possess a postgraduate qualification or have previously received government funds (advance payment or reimbursement) for any postgraduate or degree course.
- Note: Officers without a postgraduate qualification will be given priority based on seniority.
- Language Proficiency: Since the course will be conducted in the English medium, proficiency in the English language will be considered.
