1. Animal Science, Animal Production and Health — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Areas include Non-ruminant Production, Poultry/Swine Production Systems, Breeding & Reproduction, Health Management & Biosecurity, Animal Health Microbiology. Requires B.Sc. in Agriculture/Agricultural Technology (Animal Science specialization) or B.Sc. in Animal Science and Fisheries. PhD an added advantage.
2. Food Science and Food Technology — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology/Food Science and Nutrition/Food Production and Technology/Food Science and Dairy Technology or closely related field. A 4-year B.Sc. may be considered. PhD an added advantage.
3. Engineering, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires B.Sc. in Engineering or Agriculture/Agricultural Technology, specialized in Engineering or Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering. Relevant areas: Programming, Agricultural/Biosystems Engineering, Embedded Systems, Automation, Data Analysis.
4. Biosystems Engineering — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires a B.Sc. (Special) degree in Agricultural Sciences, Electronics, Agricultural/Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Food Science, or related discipline. Postgraduate/industrial experience considered.
5. Professor of Biotechnology — Cadre Chair
Candidates must satisfy relevant UGC Commission Circulars and applicable requirements, and provide research publications and academic achievements.

6. Professor of Computing & Information Systems — Cadre Chair
Requires a PhD in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or an equivalent UGC-recognized qualification, plus supporting academic and research documentation.
7. Professor of Electronics — Cadre Chair
Requires a PhD in Electronics/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent recognized qualification, together with required academic and research credentials.
8. Insurance & Valuation — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires a Special/Honours Degree in Insurance and Finance, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, Financial Service Management, or another relevant field. Postgraduate/professional qualifications an added advantage.

9. Forensic Medicine — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires an MBBS qualification. Preference to candidates with MD and Board Certification in Forensic Medicine.
10. Paediatrics — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires an MBBS qualification. Preference to candidates with MD and Board Certification in Paediatrics.
11. Pharmacology — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires an MBBS qualification. Preference to candidates with postgraduate qualifications in Pharmacology or related subjects.

12. Mechanical & Manufacturing Technology — Lecturer / Senior Lecturer
Requires a B.Sc. (Engineering) or B.Tech. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, or related 4-year engineering discipline. For Senior Lecturer, a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, Product Design, Energy) is important.
🏃 Physical Education Unit
13. Instructor in Physical Education — Grade III
Qualifies through a recognized university degree or equivalent, plus required sporting achievements/experience. Alternative routes via G.C.E. (A/L) and recognized sporting achievements also apply.
14. Instructor in Physical Education — Grade II
Requires a relevant degree in Physical Education or equivalent from a recognized university. Postgraduate qualifications and sports experience may also be considered.
15. Chief Marshal
Requires relevant experience and qualifications in sports, including national team membership or equivalent, subject to UGC Circular No. 18/2017.
16. Project Manager – Construction Works
Requires a relevant B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized university or UGC-equivalent qualification, plus professional qualifications and experience in construction project handling, contract management and tendering.

Additional allowances: Cost of Living Allowance (currently Rs. 17,800 p.m.), Monthly Compensatory Allowance (36% / Rs. 330 of basic, where applicable), Academic Allowance for academic posts, and a Research Allowance of 21% of basic salary per month. All figures are subject to relevant UGC and government circulars.
🎓 Academic Allowances
- Lecturer (Probationary): 91% of basic salary + Rs. 1,200 p.m.
- Lecturer (Unconfirmed): 102% of basic salary + Rs. 1,800 p.m.
- Senior Lecturer Grade II: 116% of basic salary + Rs. 2,100 p.m.
- Senior Lecturer Grade I: 116% of basic salary + Rs. 2,200 p.m.
- Professor: 124% of basic salary + Rs. 13,300 p.m.
A Research Allowance of 21% of the basic salary per month also applies.
🎁 Other Benefits
Successful appointees become contributors to the university benefit schemes. Employees contribute 10% of earnings to the Universities Provident Fund, while the university contributes 7% of monthly earnings. Employees also become contributors to the Employees Trust Fund and University Pension Scheme.
Sabbatical Leave: Appointees to Senior Lecturer Grade II and above are entitled to one year of sabbatical leave with pay once every seven years of service, subject to applicable regulations.
