According to the official 2025 school calendar released by the Ministry of Education, Sinhala and Tamil schools across the country are scheduled to commence Term 2 on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Meanwhile, Muslim schools will conclude their Term 1 on Friday, May 23, 2025, and are set to begin Term 2 on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, following the conclusion of Ramadan holidays and related school adjustments.
