The Department of English at the University of Peradeniya has opened applications for its popular Extension Course: English for Professionals, scheduled to commence in July 2025.
This six-month course is designed for individuals seeking to improve their professional English skills and will be conducted on Saturdays or Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The course is structured at three proficiency levels—Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced, with student placement determined through a placement test.

- Duration: 6 Months (100 Hours)
- Course Fee: Rs. 20,000/-
- Application Processing Fee: Rs. 250/-
- Medium: Based on placement test results
Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed English at the G.C.E. O/L examination or hold any other equivalent qualification in English.
