Technical Officer – Finance Commission (Open Exam)

The Finance Commission has announced an Open Competitive Examination for the recruitment of Technical Officers (Grade III) in the Sri Lanka Technological Service for the year 2025.
​The examination is scheduled to be held in May 2026 in the Colombo district by the Commissioner General of Examinations.

​Eligibility Criteria
​Candidates must be Sri Lankan citizens of excellent character.
• ​Age Limit: Between 18 and 30 years as of the closing date of applications.
• ​Educational Qualifications:
• ​G.C.E. (A/L): Passed in 3 subjects in the Physical Science stream (Pure/Applied/Combined Math and Physics) or Technology stream (Engineering Technology and Science for Technology) at one sitting.
• ​G.C.E. (O/L): Passed in 6 subjects at one sitting with Credit passes (C) for Language (Sinhala/Tamil/English), Mathematics, Science, and one other subject.

• ​Professional Qualifications: Candidates must hold a recognized technical diploma in the Civil field (e.g., NDT from Moratuwa/Hardy, NDES, HNDE, or NVQ Level 6).
• ​Note: If candidates with the required professional qualifications are not available, those meeting only the educational requirements may be recruited to a Training Grade
