he Ministry of Education has announced the recruitment of 405 officers to the Grade III of the Sri Lanka Educational Administrative Service (SLEAS), effective from September 1, 2025.
According to the official circular (No. ESC/APP/SLEAS/01/25/2021(I)), the appointments have been made based on the results of the written competitive examination and oral test conducted for the recruitment of new officers for the 2020/2021 academic year, in line with the Extraordinary Gazette Notification No. 2231 dated June 4, 2021.
Eligible officers who have already received appointment letters are requested to attend the official appointment ceremony at the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education on Monday, September 1, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. They are required to bring their appointment letter, National Identity Card, and other valid identification documents.
In compliance with Public Service Commission regulations, appointees must also submit a disciplinary clearance certificate, valid from January 1, 2021, to the date of appointment. The certificate should be issued by the Head of the officer’s current institution.
Additionally, induction training for newly recruited officers has been scheduled to commence on the same day, September 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with compulsory attendance for all selected candidates.
The Ministry also instructed appointees to submit bank account details for the payment of monthly salaries, effective from September 2025.
Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa, issued the announcement and emphasized that compliance with all required documents and procedures is mandatory for final confirmation of appointments.
