The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has officially released the National School Teacher Transfer Orders 2025. These orders are available for viewing online starting April 8, 2026.
Online Access and Implementation
Teachers can access their transfer orders via the official portal at nstt.moe.gov.lk by logging in as a teacher. The Ministry has clarified that if a teacher receives a new 2025 transfer order while an existing or extended transfer order is still in effect (but not yet implemented), the previous order becomes void.

Appeals Process and Deadlines
Teachers who are dissatisfied with their transfer decisions may submit an appeal to the Annual Transfer Review Committee.
- Submission Period: Appeals must be completed online at nstt.moe.gov.lk between April 8, 2026, and April 22, 2026.
- Documentation: A printed copy of the online appeal, along with relevant attachments, must be handed over to the Principal of the teacher’s current school on or before April 23, 2026.
- Principal’s Responsibility: Principals must enter their recommendations online by April 23, 2026. They are required to personally deliver the printed applications and the TTB/APPEAL LIST schedule to the Teacher Transfer Branch of the Ministry by April 27, 2026, or send them via registered post.
