2025 National School Teacher Transfer Orders and Appeals

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has officially announced the transfer orders for the year 2025.

Target Groups: This notice specifically applies to teachers of Advanced Level Vocational Subjects (13 Years Guaranteed Education program) and Teacher Librarians.
Release Date: Transfer orders will be available for viewing online starting from March 30, 2026.
How to Access: Teachers can monitor their transfer orders by logging in as a “teacher” at nstt.moe.gov.lk.
Validity of Previous Orders: If a teacher has a previous or extended transfer order that has not yet been implemented, and a new 2025 order is issued, the previous order will be considered null and void.

Teachers who are unsatisfied with their transfer orders may submit an appeal to the Annual Transfer Review Committee through the online system.

Online Submission: Appeals must be completed online via the nstt.moe.gov.lk portal between March 30, 2026, and April 15, 2026.
Hard Copy Submission: A printed copy of the appeal, along with relevant attachments, must be handed over to the Principal of the current school on or before April 16, 2026.
Principal’s Recommendation: Principals must enter their recommendations online by April 17, 2026.
Final Submission: The printed recommendation, attached to the teacher’s application and the TTB/APPEAL LIST schedule, must be delivered to the Teacher Transfer Branch of the Ministry by a Principal or Deputy Principal, or sent via registered post, by April 21, 2026
