The Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa (ITUM), has officially invited applications for the National Diploma in Technology (NDT) program for the academic year 2025/2026, according to the Gazette issued on 21 November 2025. The three-year full-time diploma includes two years of academic study and one year of industrial training, conducted in the English medium at ITUM, Diyagama, Homagama.

Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
- Applicants must be below 24 years as at 31.12.2024.
- Applicants below 20 years receive priority for Maritime Studies
Educational Requirements:
- Passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Combined/ Higher Mathematics at one sitting of the 2022, 2023, or 2024 GCE A/L.
- Maritime applicants must have a Credit Pass (C) in English at O/L.
Selection Method
- Selection is based on GCE A/L Z-score and an aptitude test conducted by ITUM.
- Selection formula: 40% merit + 60% district quota.
