MSO Missions Abroad Competitive Exam 2025 – Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism has invited applications for a competitive examination to fill vacancies in the Management Service Officers’ Service Cadre at Sri Lanka missions abroad. The exam will be conducted in April 2025 in Colombo, under the supervision of the Commissioner-General of Examinations.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the exam:

1. Service Grade Requirements:
   • Be an officer in Grade I or Grade II of the Management Service Officers’ Service, Provincial Management Service Officers’ Service, or Local Government Management Service Officers’ Service.
   • Alternatively, be an officer in Grade III of the above services with a minimum of five years’ active service.
2. Other Requirements:
   • Age: Must be under 57 years as of the closing date (born after 17th February 1968).
   • Have earned all annual increments in the last five years preceding the date of application.
   • No record of disciplinary punishments, except warnings.
   • Must not currently be attached to a Sri Lanka mission abroad.
   • If previously employed in a Sri Lanka mission abroad, at least three years should have passed since returning to Sri Lanka.
