JAFFNA, Sri Lanka — The University of Jaffna has officially announced the call for applications for its Master of Cultural Studies 2026 (MCST) program for the academic year 2026/27 (Batch VI). This one-year postgraduate degree is designed for those seeking to deepen their understanding of cultural dynamics, with instruction conducted primarily in Tamil.
Program Overview & Eligibility
The MCST program is open to candidates from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- A Bachelor of Arts degree from a recognized university or higher education institution.
- Any other recognized degree combined with professional experience and a demonstrated interest in the field.
- Equivalent qualifications accepted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Senate of the University of Jaffna.
Selection for the program will be based on an interview process.
