Application for IETI Moratuwa Full-Time Courses – July 2026 Intake

The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, through the National Apprentice & Industrial Training Authority (NAITA), has called for applications for the July 2026 intake of full-time technical courses at the Industrial Engineering Training Institute (IETI), Moratuwa.

IETI, a collaborative project between Sri Lanka and Germany, offers industry-relevant training programmes designed to meet both local and international employment standards. These courses combine theoretical knowledge with practical exposure, including on-the-job training in recognized institutions and industries.

Courses Available

A wide range of technical and vocational programmes are available, including:

1. Electronics Craftsman (Special)
2. Electrician (Special)
3. Construction Supervisor
4. Quantity Surveying Assistant
5. Draughtsperson
6. Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician
7. Machinist (Special)
8. ICT Technician
9. Computer Graphic Designer
10. Welder (Special)
11. Wood Craftsman
12. Multi Skilled Technician
13. Plumber

Course durations range from 1 year to 3 years, with fees varying between LKR 20,000 to LKR 150,000 depending on the programme.

Qualifications & Certification

Students who successfully complete the programme will receive:

• A Full-Time Course Certificate from IETI
• NVQ Level 4 Certification issued by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC)

Eligibility Criteria

• Age between 16 and 35 years as of 30 June 2026
• Minimum qualifications vary by course (G.C.E. O/L, A/L, or Grade 8 depending on programme)
