Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the Grama Niladhari Service Exam 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Be a citizen of Sri Lanka
Age between 21 – 35 years (varies for internal/external candidates)
Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with at least six subjects including Sinhala/Tamil and Mathematics
Passed G.C.E. (A/L) in one sitting (any stream)
Permanent residence in the relevant GN Division (usually required)

GS Exam Structure

The Grama Niladhari Service Exam (Class III) usually includes the following subjects:

General Knowledge
Language Proficiency (Sinhala/Tamil/English)
Intelligence Test

Each paper carries 100 marks, and candidates must obtain minimum marks in each to qualify for selection.

Salary and Benefits

Successful candidates will be appointed as Grama Niladhari Class III officers, entitled to the MN-03 government salary scale, along with other allowances, EPF/ETF benefits, and job security under the Public Administration Service.
