The Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka, has officially announced that applications are now being accepted for appointment to the EMF for the upcoming national examinations scheduled in 2025.
The EMF members play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and smooth conduct of national-level exams. The call for applications covers the following examinations:
- G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination – 2025
- G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination – 2025
- Grade 5 Scholarship Examination – 2025
- GIT Examination – 2025
Closing Date for Applications:
07th July 2025
Eligibility Criteria:
The following categories of teachers are eligible to apply:
1. NCOE Trained Teachers
- Subjects: Science, Mathematics, Business Studies, Technology
2. Graduate Teachers
- Subjects: Science, Mathematics, Technology, Business Studies, Statistics
3. Teachers Qualified with G.C.E. A/L
- Subjects: Science, ICT, Business Statistics, Accounting, Agriculture, Economics
Important Notes for Applicants:
- Teachers who participated in EMF duties in the previous cycle:
Application forms have already been dispatched directly to their home addresses by the Department of Examinations. - New or First-time Applicants:
Teachers who have not served in EMF duties before can obtain the EMF 1 and EMF 2 application forms through their School Principals. Once completed, the forms must be submitted to the Department of Examinations by the deadline. - EMF Training:
All new applicants (freshers) selected for EMF duties will be provided training prior to the examination period. This is a mandatory step to ensure that all personnel are well-informed of their responsibilities and procedures during exam duties.
Communication with Schools:
The Department of Examinations has sent an official letter along with detailed instructions, and EMF 1 & EMF 2 application forms to all school principals across the country. Principals are expected to facilitate the process for eligible and interested teachers in their schools.
