🔔 About the Gazette Amendment
The Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued an important amendment regarding the Efficiency Bar Examination of the Development Officer Service – 2024 (II) 2025. Development Officers are requested to carefully check the revised online application period and their application status.
💻 How to Apply
Applications for the examination must be submitted through the online examination system of the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA). New applicants can visit the official SLIDA website and use the “Apply for Examinations” facility to complete their application.

Development Officers who have already submitted applications for this examination can log in to their existing user account and check their Application Status.

✅ Approved
Your application has been approved. No further action is required.
📝 Draft
There are incomplete details or corrections required in your application. Correct the information and submit the application again.
❌ Reject
The application has been rejected. Applicants should check the reason displayed in the examination system and take the appropriate corrective action.
📌 Very Important
Officers whose application status is already shown as Approved do not need to submit another application due to this Gazette amendment.
⚠️ If Your Application Is Rejected
💳 Payment Related Issues
Applicants who have payment-related problems should provide proof of the correct payment, including an image of the payment receipt, via email to [email protected]. The subject of the email should include the applicant’s name and appointment number.
❌ Wrong Examination Selected
If an applicant selected the wrong examination, a new application for the correct examination should be submitted using the previously paid receipt, subject to the instructions in the Gazette notice.
📈 Promotion Related Issues
Officers who have not received the relevant promotion cannot apply under Public Service Commission Circular No. 02/2023 where the conditions of that circular are applicable.
