The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has issued a vital circular, Circular No. 07/2019 (i), outlining a one-time process for determining or amending the Appointment Subject and Appointment Medium of current school teachers. This move aims to resolve critical issues in calculating teacher shortages/surpluses and facilitating transfers, which have arisen because many appointment letters failed to specify the subject and medium, or because teachers are currently instructing subjects outside their formal appointment.
The circular, dated October 2, 2025 , will be in effect for a limited period and details specific eligibility criteria and a strict timeline for the revision process.
Key Application & Approval Timeline
The circular mandates a swift, committee-based process for approving these revisions, emphasizing that the decision must be made methodically after carefully examining the teacher’s qualifications.
