The Approval Process in Brief

1. Teacher Application: Teachers must submit their request using the format in Schedule I through the Principal and Zonal Director of Education.
2. Verification: The Principal and the Zonal Education Office must verify the details against the teacher’s personal file, performance reports, and timetables.
3. Committee Recommendation: The Provincial Director of Education will appoint a committee to examine all applications and make recommendations.
   • For Provincial Teachers, the final decision rests with the Provincial Public Service Appointing Authority (Provincial Public Service Commission or Provincial Education Secretary).
   • For National School Teachers, the final decision rests with the Secretary of Education.
