Available Vacancies & Details
1. Instructor (13 Posts) — Kilinochchi Branch
- Salary Scale: MA 2-2 (Rs. 50,540 – 90,270/- as per DMS Circular No. 01/2025). Salary as at 01.01.2026 is Rs. 46,960.00 plus government-approved allowances.
- Age Limit: 18 – 45 years (Upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates).
- Qualifications (External): * NVQ Level 5 or NVQ Level 4 certificate of proficiency from a TVEC-accepted institute in relevant fields (Automobile, Mechatronic, Power Electrical, Welding, ICT, Construction, etc.).
- Minimum of three (03) years of industrial or teaching experience at a recognized training institute.
2. Chief Engineer – Production, Services & Maintenance (01 Post)
- Salary Scale: HM 1-1 (Rs. 140,640 – 202,140/-). Salary as at 01.01.2026 is Rs. 123,019.00 plus allowances.
- Age Limit: 35 – 55 years.
- Qualifications (External): * A degree in Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a UGC-recognized university, combined with a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) or Corporate Membership in a recognized Chartered professional institution.
- Minimum of 15 years of managerial-level experience in a State Corporation, Statutory Board, or recognized private institution.
- Alternatively, holding a Fellow Membership from a recognized Chartered professional institution with 15 years of managerial experience.
3. Chief Engineer – Training (01 Post)
- Salary Scale: HM 1-1 (Rs. 140,640 – 202,140/-). Salary as at 01.01.2026 is Rs. 123,019.00 plus allowances.
- Age Limit: 35 – 55 years.
- Qualifications (External): * Same academic and professional qualifications as the Chief Engineer (Production) listed above, alongside 15 years of relevant managerial service.
4. Planning Officer (01 Post)
- Salary Scale: JM 1-1 (Rs. 72,650 – 122,970/-). Salary as at 01.01.2026 is Rs. 65,633.00 plus allowances.
- Age Limit: 22 – 45 years.
- Qualifications (External): * A degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Economics from a UGC-recognized university.
- Minimum of one (01) year of post-qualifying experience in planning or project implementation at a managerial/executive capacity in a government department, corporation, board, or mercantile establishment.
5. Secretary to the Director/Principal (01 Post)
- Salary Scale: JM 1-1 (Rs. 72,650 – 122,970/-; Salary as at 01.01.2026 is Rs. 65,633.00).
- Age Limit: 22 – 45 years.
- Qualifications (External): * Passed G.C.E. O/L in 06 subjects in one sitting with Credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil, English, and Mathematics.
- Completion of a Secretarial course from a recognized institute (such as Polytechnic, NAITA, or NIBM).
- Minimum 10 years of secretarial experience, with at least 3 years serving as a Personal Assistant or Confidential Secretary in a government or reputed mercantile sector.
- Excellent English writing/speaking skills and computer literacy are mandatory. (Proficiency in Tamil is an added advantage) .
General Conditions for All Positions
- Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka, physically/mentally fit to serve in any part of the island, and possess excellent moral character.
- Probation/Acting Period: External recruits will be on probation for 3 years. Internal recruits already confirmed will undergo a 1-year acting period.
- Benefits: EPF contribution is 8% from the employee and 12% from the institution, plus a 3% contribution towards ETF.
