BSc in Information Technology 2025 – Open University

The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has unveiled its BSc in Information Technology programme for the academic year 2025, offering flexible learning options for students and working professionals alike.

Programme Highlights

The industry-oriented programme is designed according to ACM/IEEE curriculum guidelines and combines online and onsite learning, including laboratory sessions. Key features include:

• Open to all, including employed individuals.
• Opportunity to transfer to the BSc (Hons) in IT degree in the third year.
• Internships and scholarships through SLASSCOM member companies.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

• 03 passes at G.C.E. (A/L) in any sitting.
• 03 pass grades in the Foundation Programme/Advanced Certificate in Science or Social Science offered by OUSL.
• Equivalent or higher qualifications acceptable to the senate.

All candidates must pass a Selection Test scheduled for 02 August 2025 (10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.) at all OUSL Regional Centres.
