The National Institute of Social Development (NISD) has officially opened applications for its Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program for the academic year 2024/2025.
Offered under the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security, and Community Empowerment, this four-year full-time degree program aims to produce professional social workers equipped to serve diverse communities across Sri Lanka.

- Medium: Sinhala / English
- Duration: 4 years, Full-time
- Course Fee: Free of charge, with a nominal registration fee of Rs. 35,000
Entry Requirements:
Eligible applicants are those who sat for the G.C.E. (A/L) in 2021, 2022, or 2023 and have met the minimum university admission qualifications in any subject stream. For those applying to follow the degree in English medium, a minimum of a credit pass (C) in English at the G.C.E. (O/L) or G.C.E. (A/L) is required.
