Colombo, [Date] – The Ministry of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education has announced the call for applications for the promotion of Grade I officers of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) to the Special Grade. The promotion process will be conducted as per the provisions outlined in the Service Minute of the SLEAS, with eligibility based on seniority and specific qualifications.
Applications are open to officers who meet the required criteria as of January 1, 2025. The eligibility verification date is set for the same day, and interested officers must submit their applications by February 20, 2025.
To qualify for the Special Grade promotion, candidates must have completed at least five years of active and satisfactory service in Grade I, obtained a postgraduate degree in a relevant field, and demonstrated a high level of performance over the past five years. Additionally, candidates must not have faced any disciplinary actions and should have successfully completed the Capacity Development Training Course.
