The Public Services Commission, under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, has announced an extension of the application deadline for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment of Grade III officers to the Sri Lanka Inland Revenue Service 2024.
Originally set for March 14, 2025, the new deadline for submitting applications is now April 25, 2025. This extension provides additional time for eligible candidates to apply. However, the scheduled interview date of March 14, 2025, remains unchanged.
In addition to the deadline extension, the age limit criteria have been revised. Candidates must now be at least 22 years old but not more than 30 years old by the closing date of March 14, 2025. This means applicants must have been born on or before March 14, 2003, and on or after March 14, 1995. For current public service or provincial public service officers, the maximum age limit has been increased to 35 years.
The amendments were published in an official Gazette notification dated April 4, 2025, by order of the Public Service Commission. All other details of the original notification remain unchanged.
