✅ Age Limit & Basic Requirements
- Age Eligibility: Between 18 and 35 years of age as of 4 September 2026 (born on or between 4 September 1991 and 4 September 2008).
- Citizenship & Character: Must be citizens of Sri Lanka, possess excellent character, and be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the island.
- Disqualification: Individuals holding ordained positions in any religious order are ineligible to apply.

📝 Application Process & Fee
- Applications must be submitted online exclusively through the Department of Examinations website (www.doenets.lk) under “Online Applications – Recruitment Exams / E.B Exams”.
- Forms must be completed in English.
- A non-refundable examination fee of LKR 1,200.00 must be paid using supported online methods (Credit/Debit Card, BOC Online Banking/Flex App, or at any Bank of Ceylon branch).
📖 Examination Structure & Selection
The competitive examination is scheduled to be held in November 2026 in Colombo and Kandy. It will consist of two written papers:
1. Intelligence Test (1 Hour | 100 Marks): 50 multiple-choice and short-answer questions assessing logical reasoning and decision-making skills.
2. Subject-Related Knowledge (2 Hours | 100 Marks): Structured and multiple-choice questions testing specific domain knowledge relevant to the applied post.
Candidates securing a minimum of 40% per paper will be placed on a merit-based priority list. Qualified candidates equal to the number of vacancies will subsequently be called for a general document verification interview.
