The Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) has announced the commencement of its admissions for the 2025/2026 intake of two highly sought-after English language programs: the Advanced Certificate in English for Professional Communication (ACEPC) and the Certificate in English for General Communication (CEGC).
These one-year programs aim to equip students with strong English communication skills for academic, professional, and everyday use. Courses will be conducted through a blend of online and onsite academic activities, offering flexible learning opportunities for students across the country.
Program Locations
The programs are available at all regional centres of OUSL, including:
Colombo, Kandy, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Ratnapura, Matara, Badulla, Batticaloa, and Jaffna.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must be 16 years or older and qualify under one of the following categories:
- Category A:
- CEGC: A simple pass in English at the GCE Ordinary Level Examination.
- ACEPC: A simple pass in English at the GCE Advanced Level Examination.
- Category B:
- Applicants can sit for a selection test conducted by the department, which will assess their English language proficiency.
