The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced a new opportunity for applicants who became eligible for university admission based on re-scrutinized and withheld results of the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2025 (2026).

✅ Who Can Apply?

This opportunity is specifically available to applicants who have qualified for university admission based on:

Re-scrutinized results of the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination 2025 (2026); or
Previously withheld results that were released subsequently.

The relevant results were released by the Department of Examinations in July 2026, according to the UGC. Applicants who have become eligible for university admission as a result of these updated results can now submit their applications for the 2025/2026 academic year.

🔄 Opportunity to Change Course Preference Order

Applicants will also be given an additional period to make changes to the order of preference of their selected courses. According to the UGC notice, a one-week period from 4 September 2026 to 11 September 2026 will be provided for applicants to change the order of preference of their courses of study — giving applicants a chance to review and adjust their course preference order after the application submission period.

⚠️ Important Restriction on Aptitude & Practical Test Courses

This opportunity does not apply to courses of study that require aptitude tests or practical tests where such tests have already been concluded by the relevant university, campus or higher educational institution.
Applicants should carefully check whether an aptitude or practical test is required for their preferred course, and whether the relevant test has already been completed.

Carefully select and arrange your preferred courses.

Check whether any selected course requires an aptitude or practical test.

Remember that courses with aptitude/practical tests already concluded are not covered by this opportunity.
